This townhouse is located in the village of Canillas de Albaida, approximately 40 minutes from the coast. It has good car access and is close to supermarkets, restaurants, the bank and the local chemist.

 

The front door opens into a large (4.5 x 2 meter) hallway with stairs leading up to the first floor and a store cupboard underneath and an additional store cupboard at the opposite end. From the hallway there are the two ground floor bedrooms, one double with a ceiling fan, and one single, and then passing on through the inner passageway there is the ground floor bathroom which consists of a bath with shower over, sink, toilet, bidet and electric towel rail. Past the bathroom are the ground floor lounge and the kitchen. The kitchen has plenty of fitted units together with a gas cooker, double sink, fridge and a dining area. There is also a ceiling fan fitted in the kitchen. Returning to the main entrance hall and taking the stairs up to the first floor, the stairs open out into a very ample landing which at present has a couch and the telephone point, but was previously used as office space. At the top of the stairs, on the right is the 1st floor lounge which is a good-sized room and has a door out to a small (4 x 2 meter) terrace area and also wooden stairs leading up to the main roof terrace. This lounge has a ceiling fan and also an air conditioning/heating unit fitted. The wooden stairs lead up to the roof terrace which is quite big enough for a table and chairs or sunbathing beds. From this terrace there are good views of the surrounding countryside and on down to the coast. On the first floor there is also a second bathroom that has recently been refurbished and consists of a bath with shower over, a sink, toilet and electric towel rail. Next to this is a room housing the water heater for the adjacent bathroom, a washing machine and some shelving units. The main double bedroom is to the left of this and has an authentic Andalucian, old tiled floor. Here again there is a ceiling fan and an air conditioning/heating unit fitted.

 

This house also has a bodega, accessed directly from the street which is presently used for extra storage but with a little renovation could be made into more living space or used as a traditional wine cellar.

 

The windows in this house are silver aluminium with sun blinds and some have fly screens fitted. The house was re-wired in 2005 and some of the plumbing was renewed at this time also. The house is sold unfurnished, but the furnishings could be included on negotiation if desired. The present owner is in possession of the title deed to the property. Electric and water are connected and the property has a landline telephone.

 

This townhouse would be well suited to someone wanting a permanent residence in the hills of Andalucia, as it is an unusually large residence with plenty of storage space. It has a good combination of the traditional Spanish townhouse yet with a more modern room distribution.
